Denmark: Mind-blowing Scenery in Faroe Islands
$4950.00 / $2,000.00 deposit
18th - 25th Jun, 2022
Join internationally-renowned photographer, Thierry Bornier, for this spectacular Faroe Islands photography workshop in June 2022, which includes amazing landscapes and wildlife, such as the islands’ famous puffins.
Located between Iceland and Scotland, the Faroe Islands are still relatively undershot, yet boast some of the most fascinating landscapes you’re ever likely to see. This mysterious 18-piece jigsaw puzzle of islands is at once ancient and very modern. Multicolored cottages and grass-roofed wooden churches add focus to the grandly stark, treeless moorlands. Timeless networks of cairn-marked footpaths crisscross craggy layer-cake mountains.
For landscape photographers, the Faroe Islands offer mind-blowing scenery. Feast your eyes on spectacular waterfalls that pour off dramatic cliffs into the ocean, a hanging lake, ancient Saksun village, sea stacks and endless mountain vistas.
Our workshop also includes the wildlife of Mykines Island, especially the puffins.
Highlights of Our Workshop:
- The iconic Múlafossur Waterfall
- The spectacular lighthouse of Kalsoy
- The famous Saksun Church
- The spectacular Fossá waterfall
- The island of Mykines (for puffins)
- Lake Sørvágsvatn
- Drangarnir and Tindhólmur
- Risin og Kellingin
